Meet Our New Junior Sales Executive

Amsterdam, Netherlands —  Benjamin brings a friendly, personable attitude and a sense of fun to the SalesScreen team.

Dave: What is your work education/work background?

Benjamin: I attended the University of Amsterdam where I studied Law, and ultimately graduated with a Master of Law in International and European Tax Law . My work background is primarily working as a corporate tax consultant (yes, it is as boring as it sounds).

Dave: What are some of your hobbies?

Benjamin: Football, skiing, traveling and nice dining. My favorite football team is AFC Ajax (I hope you all still remember this football team) and since I have a season ticket I try to visit all home matches. As mentioned, I’m also playing football myself; however, I’m not sure if you can still consider this activity as football. I think you can call it race-walking with a football in the middle of the pitch.

In the future I would like to travel as much as possible. My next big trip will probably be Colombia in summer 2019.

Dave: Why did you choose to work for SalesScreen?

Benjamin: I chose to work for SalesScreen because I would like to have fun again in my job. During the last couple years, I experienced how it feels to really hate your job and I decided that I don’t want this feeling ever again. I think it's really important to find a job you like and which you can combine with your (natural) skills. With SalesScreen, I’m convinced that this will be the case. Moreover, during my first experience with SalesScreen I have been impressed regarding the product we offer, and therefore I really believe the company will show great growth in the future and I’m happy to be a part of this.

Further, during the Amsterdam event in September 2018, I noticed that SalesScreen consists of a group of awesome people. I believe that the balance between hard work and having fun with each other is perfect at SalesScreen and I really appreciate this. As a result, everybody is always going the extra mile. This positive working environment at SalesScreen was something I was missing at my old job.

Dave: What are your expectations of working here?

Benjamin: My expectations of working for SalesScreen is to improve my sales skills and at the same time learn as much as possible that comes along with growing as a company. I’m open-minded and willing to learn, so I believe this is a perfect stage to join SalesScreen.

Dave: What unique qualities or skills do you bring to the table?

Benjamin: I can describe myself as a fun, social person who loves to have the people/human element involved during my day-to-day job. My social skills (i.a. trustworthy, good listener, empathic ability and ability to connect with people) will help me with my position in SalesScreen, and I hope that this will result in a lot of new clients.

Furthermore, as mentioned above, I’m willing to learn and love new challenges and understand that this involves hard work, which I’m definitely not afraid of! I'm an easy person to work with on an individual level and in a group.

Dave: Have you ever worked for a startup? Are you excited about it?

Benjamin: I have never worked for a startup before. However, as mentioned earlier, I really like the working environment in a start-up and this gives me a lot of energy. I’m looking forward to working with a group of young, passionate and fun people.

Dave: Describe your personality.

Benjamin: Always happy and in search of fun! Easy to connect with and a trustworthy person. I do like to make some jokes (however, in most cases I'm the only one who is laughing). A little bit crazy, in a good way (I guess).

Dave: What's your favorite quote?

Bio: Benjamin is 27-years-old and comes from Amsterdam, Netherlands. He graduated from the University of Amsterdam with a Master of Law in International and European Tax Law. In his free time, he enjoys playing football, skiing, traveling and nice dining.
